I am an assistant professor of English at Washington State University in Pullman, WA. Prior to arriving here, I held the Arts & Sciences postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Toronto in Canada, under the expert guidance and mentorship of Dr. Katherine Schaap Williams. Before that, I completed my PhD in English from Syracuse University, NY with the help of my advisor, Dr. Stephanie Shirilan, and I have both a BA and an MA degree in English from Jadavpur University, India. I am currently at work on my first monograph, exploring the feelings evoked by representations of monstrosity on the premodern stage and page. My research and teaching interests are located at the intersections of premodern race, disability, and gender, especially as relates to Shakespeare, Spenser, Middleton, and their contemporaries.
